My Mathematics Learning Experiences

Looking back on my own experiences learning math, I can think of moments that shaped how I view the subject. One memory that stands out is from elementary school, when we used pattern blocks to explore fractions. It was exciting to see how shapes could combine to make new forms, and it helped me understand abstract concepts in a concrete way. Another experience is from middle school, when I struggled with long division. Initially, I felt frustrated and thought I wasn’t “good at math,” but a teacher encouraged me to break problems into smaller steps and try different strategies. This experience taught me that persistence and experimenting with different methods are essential for success in mathematics.
